The Friday event should be the concluding event of their orientation week. So students should be compulsory to attend. Parents may be optional 😄

I think the school should be ok whether it is Macbook pro or air. As long as it is the Apple platform.

Previous experience was that there was no loaner set provided when sent in for repair. I opted for the 13" 256Gb version.

The insurance previously for first kid macpro was on loss or damage I think. Cannot recall well. Maybe did not activate the insurance but he did sent in for tech support/repair for a few times.

I remembered that there was a talk given by one of the teachers on the Mac book usage. He mentioned that every year a few boys will lose or misplaced their Mac book. Which at that time prompted me to get the insurance.

Probably personal preference here. But will be buying the 13".

With the additional insurance options. Most probably from Sapura as they have the on site pick up and drop off support. I think we use that a few times when first boy’s MacPro had issues in school.

It is been a while since I was here. The eldest has just completed his secondary education at MSHS and now the second one is going in. Time sure flies. All the best to all the boys starting their adventure in MSHS…

Hi, in the spirit of keeping this thread alive, my DS is in sec 1F. Anyone has views on the MacPro or MacAir. We chose the latter because it is considerably lighter.

Orangbelt, greenbelt and blitz, what classes are your DS in?
Opinions varies on this. There are several articles in the Net on this.

On personal note, I chose the MacBook Pro. But I am sure both should be good options.

Ironically, this will be the most expansive computer in the home.

Hi everyone, just signed up to join in.

My son just entered Maris Stella as well.

He also mentioned that no HP is allowed in this camp. Anyway, he has been going to camps since he was in P4. All this time, have never recieved any calls or sms from him before during such camps. I just try to take it positively that he is enjoying himself and is independent. 😄
