Hi Tika, thanks for your information on Dynamic world Montessori, have an appointment to visit them, but would like to know how much Mandarin they learn there - it doesn’t sound like a bilingual immersion environment? Also, are their English speaking teachers expats or local?
I have visited Shaws and thought it was good especially 1 English and 1 Mandarin teacher per class (staff to student ratio 1:6) - clean, reasonable outdoor areas (as opposed to a total lack thereof at White Lodge and not very usable ones i.e. too hot, at Chilton House ), nice staff etc, the only concern is that all their English teachers are local and also their morning classes are full so will have to go in the afternoon.
I also quite like the sound of Schoolhouse by the Bay but have been told that they only run afternoon classes for my son’s age group (he turns 2 in a week’s time) which sounds a bit odd and less than ideal… read somewhere that kids learn best in the mornings, so would rather he does the tv watching in the afternoon:)
