Hi experienced parents,

Kindly advice if parents can drive in school to pick up kids during dismissal time ? If not kids can only walk out through gate 1? Thanks!

'They' as in the kids of the few hundred parents in that group chat. The super on parents consolidated the AL reported by parents in that group chat. Their kids really did well.
May I know which chat group? WeChat ? Thanks

There is really no reason for MOE to hide because AL COPs are indicatively and parents have been informed that COP may fluctuate from year to year.

What I am highlighting is that 2019 RGS COP is 261 and it's nearing or matching AL5 COP. So if the 2021 cohort does well, we should not be surprised that RGS may ballot for AL5.

If AL5 goes to balloting, it will most likely affect non-citizens students most. Of perhaps not all AL5 students will be affected.
Have you ever think from another way?? Based on your calculation, a kid 89+89+89+92, T score around 262. But AL 7. I don’t know you are a parent or a kid. You tried to link AL to T score about the whole year. Actually meaningless

Yup, after all is about the child. RGS will be more of all rounder. NUSH will be more on Math and science. I am not saying NUSH will not have a lawyer, but if NUSH is focusing on math and science, what about child is interested beside math and science. NUSH narrow down to certain extent. If my child still don't know which path she is going, why should I narrow down to a school which already trying to direct the child path.
For AL4 confirm get into RGS. Even if you put it at the sixth choice.
Congrats, achieve AL4.

U are wrong. Choice matters this year. I guessed most popular schools will be filled up by 1st or 2nd choice at the most. Even you have AL4 in third choice, u cannot even replace AL6 in those who chooses RGS in 1st or 2nd choice. Use your choice wisely. This is unlike last year.

This is not my understanding, CCK. It’s merit ahead of all other options. A AL4 as the 6th choice is still ahead of a AL5 as the 1st choice.

This is a big point. Would others confirm my understanding?
You are right. Merit is the first option. Don’t over emphasis the order of choice. But the point is if you are AL4 you sure into the first choice no matter which school. Second choice no chance to select you. This is not because they are filled by who put them as 1st choice but you don’t give them a chance haha

My girl has AL6M, if we put RGS as 1st choice and Nanyang as 2nd, is this safe?

Noooo! Lots of AL4 n 5 this year. Will get in first. Better choose another school. As both these top tier schools will get filled with AL 4 n 5.

Where you got those data?

After reading the articles, I was more puzzled. If 10% can got A*, than almost all the IP school cut off will be 4🤣
Some kids are stronger in some subjects and not the others. Not many will get 4, but of course there are.
The articles mentioned 10% will get 4 A* based on the raw scores, so I confused.
