hi, anyone received email from SNGS on DSA academics?

Hi, does anyone know roughly how many candidates do SNGS select for DSA-Leadership - IP? As for leadership, SNGS opens to OP and IP hence i presume there will be more applicants. Do they select those who are head and vice-head prefects only? any tips?

I know that their DSA-science domain (IP only) has offered to only 3-4 students in a few years back. I think there are somehow less applicants or if i’m wrong, perhaps its tougher to get in via science.

No, my dd current school has not announced the new AL affiliation privilege score. Hence it’s a unknown factor.

My dd has achieved good grades in p2 (TOP 25%) and mid of p3. Maybe once at sngs, will be kick out of TOP 25%? sweat
I Guess competition will definitely be stiffer in sngs.

What do you think sngs will offer for AL affiliation cut off for its own primary students ?

Should i transfer my younger DD who is P3 this year to SNGS primary in 2020? Should i apply to be in the waiting list now as the deadline for application is end Sept?


Many factors to consider, travelling distance(1hr), transportation issue since i have another dd going to the sec next year, plus-point for the affiliation to its secondary school in 2022 using the new AL system. Current school is a good mission girl’s school too, unsure if dd would be able to adapt in the P4 existing class as a new student.

Hence asking for any of your opinions: is CHIJ SNGS pri school culture, its academic standard and holistic environment worth the transfer? probably those who has dd studying there can advise if the school is really worth going.

I can understand the feeling of some people who never receive CO as we receive a rejection confirmation from one of the JC over the phone enquiry a few days ago. My kid feels really sad and down. He is still in the school now, I have not broke the news to him yet. For those who are rejected just move on, hopefully the kids can recover fast and look towards to the next new day.

The worse feeling is when one get rejection while his/her very close friend, cousin or even own sibling(in the case of twins) get a CO from the same school. I had not intended to break the news of rejection to my child when received the letter, but when I was hiding the letter under some paper and staring at the paper, she came home, and instinctively, she asked me what I was reading and grabbed the letter under the piece of paper. Thereafter, she went to hide in her bed, never cry but just want to be left alone.
