Hi,
Browsing between these 2 schools in the forum these few days is pretty eye opener. I can feel the contrast in terms of school culture, operations, management, teaching staff, students and even parents.

RE: Nanyang Girls' High School [*IP]
Hi,
I am not a NYGH parent for sure. I am considering schools for my child coming DSA. -
RE: DSA 2019

Hi, she scored 3 A* in SA and 4 A* in PSLE. If the child is scoring 3 A* in SA1, based on our experience, I would advise not to DSA. If you are still not confident of the expected outcome of PSLE, DSA only in the top school if you must, don’t go for multiple schools . It’s going to be a tough year, don’t add unnecessary pressure into the kids life. Support and love them along the journey.
Hi,
Just seeking your opinion as I am pretty much same situation. Which school do you think you should have DSA in your case? Assuming you are aware of PSLE 265 plus range result? -

RE: Historical COP for Sec 1 Posting Exercise
Hi,
Means RGS is not only command high demand based on national exams performance, but with whole multitude of factors? Is it probably due to they don’t create banding for class allocation I read? Part of holistic approach? -
RE: Historical COP for Sec 1 Posting Exercise
Hi,
So a top school perform well in national exams create popularity and drives up demand ? Therefore create short supply and drives up cut off points? -
RE: Historical COP for Sec 1 Posting Exercise
Hi,
Is it that it has the highest cut off point, that consider top school? I read somewhere about big four or big five. Are they rank based on their cut off point? -
RE: Historical COP for Sec 1 Posting Exercise
Hi,
So RGS is top secondary school now? -

Hi,Agreed with Chief.
My eldest just started sec 2 this year. Last night she mentioned that there will be some new changes this year. The whole class dislikes the new arrangement. The girls felt more stressed this way.
DD1 feels that she may fare better with regular graded bite size tests (aka checkpoints) than just depend on 1-2 major ones.
Is your child on IP program?
