aidygirl:Would like to share my experience as I just apply KPIS card for my helper today. My situation is same as DRS. My helper work permit is expiring in Apr 19 and passport Sept 19 and she is planning for home leave in early dec.
We reach the embassy around 8.40am and there is already long queue. The guard is very polite and helpful, he informed us to get ready documents eg Passion card, driving license (no IC, no work permit, no credit card) to exchange for an entry pass. Pls take note to observe proper dress code ie no bermudas, no slippers. If you are wearing sleeveless, the guard will provide a shawl to cover yourself.
Upon reaching the building, proceed directly to level 2 Reception, staircase is outside main entrance. don't need queue up for the recept at level 1. The level 2 recept will pass 1 form and survey form for completion. After which, wait for your number to be called.
During the interview, the officer will question you your helper current pay and number of off days. Pls take note that since 1 Jan 2016, min pay for Indonesian helper is $550, add $21 compensation for each no off day= $634. You will need to purchase the $74.90 Indonesian Embassy Bond from AIG on the spot. After which, the employment contract will be signed (English and Indonesian) and your helper can go take photo for the KPIS card. Both employment contract and KPIS card can be collected on same day. I noted that both document expire the same day as work permit. The entire process took about 1 hour. There is no payment required for the Employment contract and KPIS card.
The officer at the recept did not inform me to renew passport and work permit at this time. Hope this helps.
Hi,
My Indonesian FDW is going for home leave this month. Her contract ends May 2020 and Passport expires 2021,
Apart from applying for the KPIS card, what else do need we need to do with regards to MOM?
This is the first time she is going for home leave. Just want to ensure we got all grounds covered.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
