    • RE: All About Working With Children Who Are Weak Academically

Regarding remedial, recently I received a letter from teacher that my son (P3 this year) needs to attend English remedial class, I was so shocked as I thought he did ok.P1 and P2 have no exam, based on his report book, 5 items, 3 are satisfactory and 2 are proficient, year end test full mark 30, he did 25, honestly I feel it’s not bad, but I did not wonder this result also was chosen to attend school remedial lesson.

Most funny thing is his remedial is at 3pm, I asked teacher if he can go home first and return to school again as his school is just opposite my house, teacher said can not and just stay at school, there is math remedial at 2pm then let him go math remedial at 2pm then after that continue with English remedial, math is his best subject, last year he got 4 proficient and 1 satisfactory, really don’t know what is the standard they choose student for remedial?
