I just walked toward Cathay complex. There is a small alley on the right of the main entrance. The climb isn’t for those who have little exercise! I counted 126 steps that takes you to Mount Sophia. At the top, walk right until you reach the junction, then keep left. The school is on your right. The distance from the top of the steps to the school is approximately 500m. Good luck!

Ok… Called Cathay residences. It is actually a 101 step climb up to Mount Sophia and the access is closed at midnight.

Hi. My name is James and we are excited over my daughter’s P1 journey next year. For those of you going to the orientation today, I like to remind you that the supposed walkway from Handy Road is a controlled access. The steps are opened from 7-8am/ 5.30-7pm. If you are going to the school via Dhoby Ghaut Station, I heard that there is a lift landing access from Cathay Residences ( But I am not sure if it is open for public access). Anyone care to comment?
