BREAKING:Tuition centre staff's qualifications questioned
VIA TNP: TThe tuition centre's founder is described on its website as having an MBBS in (child psychology) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). The centre also boasts a teacher who is stated on its website as having an \"MBBS\" in mathematics.
In a New York Times report, Raffles EduHub’s founder and managing director, Dr Zhong Rui Wen (above), was described as a medical doctor and child psychiatrist.
Checks with both the Singapore Medical Council and the Ministry of Health (MOH) showed that her name is not on their lists of registered doctors.
An Ministry of Health spokesman said it is investigating the matter.
NUS said: “While the university offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree programme, we do not offer any undergraduate or graduate degree programme with a specialisation in Child Psychology.”
It also said there is no MBBS in mathematics.
Checks showed the tuition centre is not registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE). The Ministry said it was reviewing an application by the centre.

actually are those name tags a must? kinda regretted getting them coz it meant that his uniform cannot pass down to his younger brother :(
I don't think it's enforced very strictly. When it was first introduced when Mrs Chong came on board, it was stated in the letter that it's compulsory except for P6 of that year. But my son said lots of ppl didn't have the name tag either. This year, we bought new uniform. We are not getting new name tag cos he's in P6 this year.
If I remember correctly, it will be distribute by the FT when it's ready.octopatchi:

Btw, I ordered name tags to be sewn on the uniform - does anyone know if this will be distributed soon by the teacher, or do I have to collect this from somewhere? -

Normally there'll be a change in teachers.octopatchi:
another one in P6 next yr

My boy is also in P6 next year.
Do you know if their FT will follow them to P6?
Right now, we only know that he will have the same EL teacher.
His P5 FT is going for a course. So don't know who will be his FT next year.
Which class is your boy in ? Mine in 6D.
Don't know who are the teachers yet.
6F
