Why is Maths important in from sec 1?What I heard (pls correct me if I am wrong) - the subject is used as a basis when it comes to streaming at end of sec 2 (and I presume Science subject too) Those who do well will then be considered for triple science class in sec 3-this is considered the top class in the school and usually there are only 1 or maximum 2 classes in each sec school.So those who are in the triple science class are considered the cream ofthe crop. I guess it serve as an incentive for students to do well in theirMaths subject.
