I'm not too sure about EYM but The Little House (Montessori) also in Sunset Way offers a good montessori program too. They have one to one cooking sessions and geography lessons too. Maybe you should schedule a visit with them to understand better! šŸ˜‚

Unlike other centres within that area, EYM is an established centre. Very good track records, plenty of testimonials from parents, wide open spaces and more.

Geography is part of Montessori's Cultural explorations. A discerning parent must know that this area of study (geography) is inclusive in a sound Montessori programme in any/all reputable Montessori centres and should not be packaged or advertised to make it seem like a specialized programme.

Yes buds, you are absolutely right about how geography should be part of any Montessori program. What I meant to say was that they have a special way of sharing the information about different countries and cultures to the children. I can't say that EYM doesn't have their own unique way of doing geography with their children. Maybe you can give us some insights on how their lessons are run?

The Little House is also an established centre. They have been there since 1994. I understand that EYM started in 1996. There also lots of good reviews and testimonials for The Little House and they have a very spacious school with an outdoor garden which also means that the children don't have to go all the way to the playground to get their daily dose of outdoor fun. :imcool:

      TCH:
Can any parents whose child was from EYM give some comments on the curriculum in terms of English, Maths and Chinese on the kindy? I am not too sure if they are able to transit smoothly to Pri 1. Do all the teachers in EYM teach our kid randomly as I understand there are only 4 or 5 teachers there. TIA :?:

You might want to try The Little House (Montessori), also in SUnset Way, as they prepare your child to be academically ready for Primary 2 in English, Math and Mandarin. They use an individual lesson plan for each child and also teach according to the child's learning pace.

Check out their reviews on google, seems like the parents are very happy with their child's progress:

Any one has good/bad things to say about Early Years Montessori in Sunset Way, Clementi? I live in Bukit Batok but dont have any good montessori closeby. Is it worth travelling all the way to Sunset way? Please share your reviews. Thanks a bunch.

      Hi fdbee and yanui,

You should check out The Little House (Montessori) at Sunset Way.

      Here's the website: thelittlehousemontessori.com

They have a bilingual program and by the time they graduate they will be at least ready for primary 2 in terms of mandarin.

Check out the reviews written by the parents.
