Enjoy a fresh new Fun n enriching education journey here !!!

      Hi Augmum,

My DD got into DHS :rahrah:

May I ask about the school shoes? What is acceptable?

Congrats to Oxxo n yr DD... πŸ˜„

Regarding the sch shoes...from the student handbook...it is stated that ...
Only track shoes are allowed, MUST NOT be Flashy in colors n design...
Unlike in the past, where they only allowed shoes with abt 70% white ...

I had seen students wearing light blue or grey color track shoes...
Anyway, some pupils wear bolder colors to \"test water\" .... if u are not caught, then ok lor...if caught, will have to change to another pair... πŸ˜‰

As for socks, plain white socks, visible above the rim of the shoes...[/quote]Good morning Augmum,

Thank you for the details. DD is excited to visit her new school today. πŸ•Ί

Thank you Augmum for your info. Nice to see you still helping new parents here.
I have read some of your posts here since 2010. It is definitely very helpful to those new DHS students.
Hopefully my DD can enter dhs

I am ex DHS. My DD also submitted DHS as first choice.

I want to thanks Augmum for her years of contributions.
U all are most welcome... πŸ˜„

Am happy to hear that my past yrs of sharings here are helpful to new DHS parents/students...

GOOD LUCK to all those who have chosen DHS as their 1st choiced sch...
Juz like what i did 6 years ago... πŸ˜„

At that point of time...DHS SH was relatively New...Also not much info could be sourced online...
i had frens... as well as concerned PMs who discouraged me to choose DHS...go for the TOP 2 schs as what they said...
BUT i hv faith in the sch...that 6 yrs later, SH dept would emerge stronger ....
The sch ...the students...indeed have shown their improvement yr after yr...
      Jia You :rahrah:

We decided on DHS way before her PSLE results.
To me DHS is a \"growth stock\", can only get better and better. πŸ˜„

DD chances should be good but always expect the unexpected.
