So my guess is no in-person trials, large scale written tests, interviews etc. All in the name of being extra cautious. Probably 2020 format will be repeated this year.
Your wish may have come true!

Can explain that part, why times 14, then divided by 60 ?
It is the gradient of the line: – (20 – 6) / (260 – 200)

Try out the formula on spreadsheet/graph and you will see it.

Veyron, thank you for your input. Any suggestion or adjustment is welcome. Make it AL6?

t-score AL
200 –> 20
260 –> 6 (adjusted estimate)

The formula becomes
AL = 20 – (t-score – 200) * 14/60

Thank you, SG_KP1.

MOE will provide the indicative AL COPs for individual secondary schools in the first half of 2021. Guess we can wait for that.

Mind elaborating on how you arrived at the formula?
t-score AL
200 --> 20
260 --> 5 (estimate too)

AL = 20 – (t-score - 200) * 15/60 (Linear Progression)
==>\tAL = 20 – t-score *15/60 + 50
==>\tAL = 70 – t-score/4

• RE: All About PSLE AL Scoring System

Just a suggestion: using Linear Progression method, we can do a quick estimate for the AL COP with t-score COP.

The formula: AL = 70 - (t-score/4)

This is how it works out:
t-score\tAL
>=264\t 4
260\t 5
256\t 6
252\t 7
248\t 8
244\t 9
240 \t10
236 \t11
232 \t12
228 \t13
224 \t14
220 \t15
216 \t16
212 \t17
208 \t18
204 \t19
200 \t20
160 \t30

Need to stress that it is a quick estimate and is not meant to be accurate.

Extract:
“To ensure the safety and well-being of all students and school personnel amid the COVID-19 situation, we will not hold any physical selection tests, camp or face-to-face interviews as part of the DSA selection process this year. Instead, all interviews for shortlisted DSA applicants will be done via electronic modes (e-modes).”
Can someone advise me of my choices-

My tscore 250 + 2

1st - Rv SAP ( cop 252)
2nd - scgs 'o' level ( cop 252)
3rd - cedar 'o' level ( cop 250)
4th - Chung Cheng main SAP 'o' level ( cop 242)
5th - nan chiau SAP 'o' level (cop 244)
6th - nan hua SAP 'o' level ( cop 245)

I suppose Chung Cheng is a safe choice to fall back on, and so unlikely need to go to 5th or 6th choices. If you would like, can consider put SCGS IP somewhere before or after RV, depending on your preference, just in case SCGS IP cutoff is lowered this year.

Initially my girl wanted to put scgs IP as 1st choice but historically scgs ip has not gone lower than 252. My girl tscore only 250 as her hmt +2 point cannot be used for scgs. Very limited choices for 250 score
Agreed with SAHMom. “You can consider put SCGS IP somewhere before or after RV, depending on your preference.”

SCGS IP COP did come down to 250 in 2014.

If eligible, it is free if u attend the lessons at the language centres. But if u opt to attend lessons in school for convenience, will have to pay.

If u attend 3rd language, at MOELC (Bishan or Newton) :
free of charge, no need to pay

But if u attend 3rd language (Spanish / jap / French / german) , at NUS High (school premises) :
not free, need to pay

Currently, only Japanese and French are conducted at NUS High. Students who opt for Japanese and French will have an option to attend the lessons at NUS High or the MOE language centres.

Students who opt for Spanish and German will have to attend the lessons at the MOE language centres.
