Agreed with Timmy21. Simply looking by COP does not tell you whether it is 1st tier or 2nd tier. COP is by supply and demand - number of applicants vs number of vacancies. IMO, all IP schools are already of 1st tier as they are about 10% of the cohort.
School culture, proximity, CCA should instead be considered as Timmy21 has mentioned. If you would like to know on performance of IP students, look at dropout rate, ranking points for A level performance etc. COP is never a good gauge.

Also, with regards to our second choice, would you recommend a 2nd tier IP school like TJC or O program from a 1st tier school, like St. Nicholas? what are the pros and cons between these 2 options that we need to bear in mind before coming into a decision?
