No new HDB in the vicinity (and even if HDB launch one tomorrow, it won't be in time for your registration). The resale HDB and condo are your only options.

Pragmatically, consider another school and forget about Nanyang.

Seems like not many schools near NYPS area as your choice for 2CS if you choose to move within 1km to NYPS, so think carefully.

It seems to me that DSA is more common for top schools.
My DS's result is average, I'm looking at schools of COP around 230. What are the chances of DSA? Heard these schools are taking in only about 10%.
Do they choose more for DSA sports?
Do they look at results? Are marks 60-80% acceptable?

I am those sad parents that now need to move on to 2Cs phase...

I am thinking between CHIJ Our lady queen of Peace or Bukit View primary......which is better?

I am not a catholic..if choose CHIJ will my girl be treated differently .....?

If you have a younger boy, better go to Bukit View to avoid Phase 2C again in the future.

Otherwise, everyone is treated equally in CHIJ.

Actually, yes they do. Plenty of schools in Phase 2C that do not require balloting.
These schools are also open for those fussing over not able to get into a particular school because alumni takes up too many spots.

I'm willing to bet that no one would even bother should one day alumni take up all the available places in Mayflower Primary School (which coincidentally, is also in AMK, offers 210 places this year, has 92 vacancies left for Phase 2A(1) - just like CHIJ SNGS).

:goodpost: The system isn't flawed, but as long as everyone wants to get into a particular school but not able to, it will never be able to satisfy everyone.

I thought this will be a hot topic for today, apparently not many ppl know if this as ST did not report at all, only Zaobao.
