That bad ? My DS was enlisted last week too but didn’t hear him about waking up early to do their laundry. Is yr DS in the leadership batch as in the training will be more tougher than the rest ?

My little brother also got enlisted last week, he said that exact same thing. No time to shower because their training eats into their admin time in the evening.

May I know whether when the uni offered you the scholarship, it does not mean it offers the degree programme you have indicated as your first choice on application?

it will state the course that the scholarship award to.
Maybe different for others as my dd only apply the one and only one course in that uni.

It didn't state the course when they offer him the Merit Scholarship. It only said if they are shortlisted for the Global Merit Scholarship, they will get another email inviting them for an interview.

If don't hear from them, then he will just receive the Merit Scholarship.

Anyway, my DS just received another confirmation that he has been offered the E-Scholar Engineering course.

But will this scholarship replace the Merit Scholarship since this is a 4-year+ course leading to a Master degree while the Merit Scholarship only covers 3 years of undergraduate studies?

My DS finally received an invite from NUS and NTU for an interview.

However they both clashed on the same day. If my DS needs to reschedule one of the interviews in 3rd or 4th week of April, because he will be enlisted into NS on 4 April, can he ask for permission to book out.



May I also ask how can he go back home from Tekong on his own? Is there private boat charter available? Sorry. I'm out of touch how the army works nowadays.

I read somewhere that there is no alternative slot for another interview though.

Both same day but can choose different timings. But the time in between the interviews are too close and my DS won't be able to attend both.

He called NTU and the have rescheduled him on 20 April at 10.30am. Hope my DS will be allowed to book out on Friday evening.
