Weight is a factor but so is the screen size.

It is a iPad 3 wifi 16 gb one.
But I guess it changed since Lots of newer models come out.
It comes with AppleCare, stylus, and an iPad cover..

Hi! My dd loves RV, but she is not strong in Chinese. Got a merit in HMT this pale. Can advise if kids weak in Chinese can handle HCL? I heard there students need to score min B4 for HCL in yr 1and yr2. What is the % of students retained becos they couldn't achieve this minimum? Pls share.

B4 is the required minimum for all years until y4 not just y1/2.
You won't get retained if u get a c5/6 but if it's consistent then maybe.
You will get an immediate retain if u score really badly like a e8/F9.
It will be based on your scores of subjects other than cl as well.
But if your Chinese is not that weak then I suggest maybe u can try out.
However if your Chinese is ccmi then I would advise against choosing rv.
As far as I'm concerned, only abt 34 ppl of my batch couldn't achieve this but they were conditionally promoted. None actually retained.
I'm weak in Chinese tho, but I try my best, and each year I improve.
I guess if u think u can improve in Chinese then go ahead.
I would advise taking Chinese tuition tho, it doesn't help much.
If u need extra help then approach your Chinese teachers, believe me, they will help you practice.
I had a really nice Chinese teacher so is as lucky I guess, he gave me lots of zuo wen topics to practice and such.

Basically 3 cats
Leadership
Sports
Academics

Abt 70-90 ppl in my year got thru dsa.

Which cca would be our schools niche area,
Is wushu and badminton.
But more ppl get into rv thru wushu, my Advice is that your son/daughter must have some prized achievements and such, or their primary school cca is wushu. So for that must plan early.

Not sure if they accept other types of cca cuz we focus more on those two.

OH YEAH RV OPEN HOUSE IS THIS SATURDAY!!!

Well hai there!:)
RV is a well rounded school and we have students with talents in different areas. Rv is also an autonomous school thus we try to strive for the best in our Chinese language.
Honestly I didn't think that I would be going to rv but after 2 years of the rv experience. I'm glad to have chosen it.
The teachers here will guide you through your learning path and will nurture you. If u have a specific talent, they will groom you as such.
As a student, the teachers in rv are quite approachable, they arrange specific lessons in order to help in in any way you can.
Ofc this is rather biased since I'm an rv student.
But I wouldn't air other schools dirty linen in public and speak hateful things about them. Desperately wanting you to come to rv instead of some other school.
No, I'm asking you if u think rv suits you, that's the whole point of an open house, if u choose to attend, I'm sure the students there will be more than happy to assist you.
In the end it's all up to you.
If you choose rv, the rv family will definitely welcome you:)

I'm an old gal of PL now in RV...
I used to live in bishan and the uncle would pick me up at 6.20 and I would reach home ard 6:55 or earlier.
The bus fare when I was a plite was 70$ per month! not sure if they raised the price yet...

I think the P said 5% and the 5% will be given a letter telling them to come to school to attend a talk on thurs(tmr evening)

However I didn’t get any letter, even though I obtained a c5 in cl.
