Not from affiliated school. Did not enquire much about him, though. And everything was ok in the documents. Probably other considerations. However, I think it is time to move on. DS posted to SJI. Am sure he will do well there. I like SJI equally. It was just the fact that he score exactly equal to COP that is troubling him. I convinced him SJI is equally good. Hopefully, few days, he will accept the decision and will be happy in his new school.

I still find it unusual given that his score is at COP, no adverse comment from primary school and although from non affiliated schools, someone else from non affiliated school has gotten in via appeal. But if your decision is to move on and not pursue it, then yes, forget about the episode and embrace SJI. SJI is a good school too and has been diverting energy into new IP. so your son may have chance to join its IP or other schools in various window periods. Wishing him all the best in SJI! The race has just started, don't give up!

      Thanks!!!

last year RI was like that too, 262 was higher than cut off point of 259 but appeal also not successful

In that case person might not have given RI as first preference. DS first choice was ACSI.

Irony is that we do not know anything other than T Score.

I got to know from someone that his son got a call that his appeal was successful. I contacted the school and got to know my appeal was not successful.

This 'someone' son is from ACS family primary schs?

Appeal rejected. Was told that PSLE score has no relevance or has little relevance during appeals. There are other considerations (unknown). DS can not understand the fact that school is accepting other appeals ignoring someone who has scored exactly equal to COP and given ACSI the first preference. Poor kid.

:yikes: :nailbite: how can that be?! Same score as COP and juz miss by decimal places. Did you furnish any other docs eg p6 results or report book comments by teachers which did not act to his favor?

how come they inform you so fast? normally they consolidate and inform unsuccessful ones like end of next week.

oh dear... your kid must be very upset...
Help him settle into the school he is posted to. Every school presents its unique opportunities. If he keeps an open mind, seeks out these opportunities and puts in the effort, he will be able to shine, if not better!!!
I got to know from someone that his son got a call that his appeal was successful.
Thanks vlim. Do they consider PSLE score during the appeal process?

I think most likely yes.. From the sucessful appeal cases tt reported here so far .. They are same cop of the school just maybe short by a few decimal pt... Like your case ..

Thanks. Hope DS gets into his favorite school. Keeping the fingers crossed.
Appeal rejected. Was told that PSLE score has no relevance or has little relevance during appeals.
DS scored exact 247. Did not get posting to ACSI despite it being the first choice and despite 247 being the COP.

      sad...
Not sure if appeals are considered on the basis of PSLE aggregate?????
      Views and suggestions?
