51/140 = 29.3% based on last year’s numbers. Worth a try I guess. If not 2CS will still have choices nearby your house. Unless you have a very strong (which you also like alot) 2nd choice school - then perhaps you got for that rather than CF.

The thread's pretty quiet. Now during this CB period I was looking at some primary school reviews and chanced upon this post again. I would say my LO enjoyed her time in school. Plenty fun lessons and at the same time sufficient academic work to prepare for P1. In the mornings the teachers have live Zoom lessons to keep them busy while we are all working from home, gives me a breather while the children are occupied. Its better when the LO can go school, she always looks forward to see her friends, but difficult times call for lots of sacrifices from FTWMs like us 🙂

      Hi All :?:

I enrolled my girl for Woodlands Primary School P1 in 2018.
Not sure if the in-school student care centre will be ready by then.
Wondering if there are good student care centres nearby.
Does anyone have any good recommendations please?

      :thankyou:

Hi, i enrolled my girl for Woodlands Primary School P1 in 2019.
Any recommendation for the student care?
      Thanks.

I have heard that those SC in schools are pretty basic - private SC's should do better in terms of tuition and extra guidance. Some even have holiday programmes and excursions.

I heard Evergreen was popular due to many new HDB’s TOP this year. Another pretty good one is still Admiralty Primary school - this I hear from word of mouth of parents. Someone mentioned their principal is pretty good (from a good "branded" school previously but maybe due for rotation again). Any comments on this?

Can have a look at Jolly Owl - the children look happy there with lots of activities and they seem to help prepare the children pretty well for P1.

I was comparing the P1 spelling list, they will have 15 words from Term2 onwards, some other schools have about 10. Just a simple observation.

I was looking through this thread to get some information on childcare in our area near Woodlands Ave 12. This thread’s rather quiet, anyone have reviews of a childcare that prepares the children well for P1 and at the same time keeps the children happy? (so they like going to school!)
