Hi have any parents registered for the Pre-primary 1 hanyu pin yin class organized by the alumni? Am wondering if I should sign up or not and appreciate reviews if your kids have attended it before. Thanks!

My daughter is currently in P1. She had attended the course which was fairly simple covering the basics and my daughter did have prior classes with Berries which touched on HYPY. She found the course to be easy but I had signed her up for classes so she could also get to mingle with her schoolmates a bit before school commenced.

Yes! Emma mentioned Denyce! She tells me that they eat and play together! It’s nice to ‘meet’ you here!

I have no idea about the white board but Emma tells me she doesn’t need to bring it. I pack it into her bag anyway since it’s actually quite light and I’m not sure.

I guess I should pack her a CNY deco to bring tomorrow…

My daughter is in 1E and she has brought back her spelling list for both English and Chinese.

Was reading the threads here and I’m not sure if your children are in the same class as mine. Her Chinese spelling will be on the 18th of Jan. As for her English spelling, I’m not sure because she didn’t put a date. Do any of you know? Let me know?

I’m wondering who my daughter was playing with while we were filling out the forms but she was playing with some new friends so I guess their going to be ok. I was quite impressed with the school actually,… the principal is very bilingual and young!

I haven’t bought the uniform and shoes nor her bag yet. Just wondering if there are any other options apart from the SPI range.

I had sent her for her last HYPY class today and saw that the queue was still very long!

I’ll have to go back another day.

I’m asking this question on behalf on a friend who’s considering sending her daughter to St Nic’s P1 next year. Her concern is that she stays at Holland Village and the school bus does not ply that route. Would any of you be able to advise if there are private busses offering such a route?
