Hey, my boy is in 1D too
Am quite happy with the school...really see them doing quite a bit to ease the kids into P1 - DS told me that the Principal and staff are around at recess and that the children can approach them if they need any help.

      SaSaMum:

Ah then I have a huge moron friend. This friend of mine has a degree in nutrition, always telling me that formula milk is much better than breast milk with all the AA, DHA etc etc.

I don't even bother to argue with her coz she will always shoot me back with...'I have a degree in nutrition, u know?' :stupid:
Sigh...I guess it is just a lack of understanding then!
Breastmilk is the gold standard in infant nutrition (juz check out what WHO has to say abt it.)
All formulas try their best to emulate breastmilk...AHA,DHA are recent additives in formula that have been present in breastmilk since who-knows-when. Up til today, the exact composition of breastmilk is still unknown - when they do discover the presence of yet another nutrient, you can be sure that manufacturers of formula will market it as another revolutionary breakthrough!
My thought on this...why spend on an inferior product when you can get the best for free?

      Hi all!

Nice to see so many pple here - I am staying in Sembawang and thought it'd be great to 'rub shoulders' with fellow Northerners!

:welcome: pea_nut! I like how you put that... fellow Northerners. Nice. πŸ˜„

So you're not actually one noun uh? πŸ˜‰
As in you're not a peanut, but a pea and a nut?

I love Sembawang Shopping Centre. Each time i go there, i don't
seem to be able to round the entire mall... can you believe it? πŸ˜„

      Hi pea_nut

I am also currently BF my no. 4 for just over 2 yrs now. DH kept asking me when am I stopping, I said \"don't know\" cos' it is really so convenient now esp in the mornings can just feed \"in a daze\" and nite when she will happily sleep after a feed.
I guess we are blessed that breastfeeding has come kind of easily for us. My heart really goes out to those who try so hard for their kids! πŸ™

ya...with the first kiddo, I kind of had to 'cos he had allergies to milk. After a while, it became super convenient...no hassle when travelling πŸ˜„ ...also I had support at the workplace and at home...so it became a normality!
