Lol, Thanks Sembgal! Do have my far share of rgps mummies, and they are nice in general and have very interesting stories most times, I'll go check out the MGS PSG nonetheless!
Madinked- cool! There is 1 or 2 like MGS Confessions etc but none very active or updated, guess we might set up one ourselves once the girls have their classes allocated. I guess it could also be because of our Methodist culture, more reserved overall Though I did find scgs' one very updated and has a lot of interesting stuff to look through
Gonzo- thanks, i'll go scour through the posts from 2013!

RE: Methodist Girls' School (Primary)
Hi Mums & Dads with girls from MGS / Mums & Dads with girls about to start MGS in '15
Would like to find out if there is a Facebook group or parent support network for MGS parents so we can get to know the school better?
If there is none, shall we set one up? -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
MGS has 34 within 1 km for 28 spaces as at 4.00pm with 2 pairs of twins.
More expected tomorrow -

All of you,
Instead of asking people for breakdown of data, isn't it better for you to call up the school, ask for data, and share with people here ?
Floppy, you are so cute to post a pic of a spoon last night. Wonder does the spoon depicts \"Please feed yourself\"??
Well, this is Singapore... People want to be spoon feed all the time
not true, I called the school butchery promised to give number but never call back.
Likey the upstairs post
As much as this is the SG we cannot run away from- the moo-la, the grades, the stress.
Lets make this THE Singapore that's not so bad to live together in and with, got HEART lah .. -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
I am sure we can pick the phone up to call.
But for how much this forum has provided me with information and entertainment - I would like to thank & also think we can be kinder and more gracious to one another and just offer the information when anyone has it - freely and gladly - especially during this scary time.
For one- the school’s phone number has been engaged for the last 2 hours… -

--Hi - can anyone advise how's the outcome of phase 2B for MGS please? Did everyone get in without balloting? I could not seem to find the results on MOE website earlier.
Thank you!
Phase 2B had 28 spaces this year for MGS.
Balloting was done for Singaporean Citizens living under 1km.
Applicants above 1km were unsuccessful.
Total of 44 applicants with 37 under 1km.

[quote=\"cherrygal\"]What's St Nick's numbers like? How about RGPS?
So quiet today...
Last day of Phase 2B
a)
CHIJ St Nicholas
29 SC less than 1 km, ballot for 20 vacancies.
b)
RGPS
21 enrolled under phase 2B.
No need to ballot.
Thus, Remaining balance brought forward from 2B, into 2C = 62 - 21 = 41
Total vacancies for 2C : starting next week = 41 + another 62 = 103
103 vacancies : is a lot
High chance of balloting for SC > 2 km at 2C, this year.
Past years' statistics
http://www.rafflesgirlspri.moe.edu.sg/e ... statistics
Still, balloting always carries an amount of risk.
Parents who intend to withdraw from earlier Phase 1 or 2A, to try Rgps at 2C, pls have a backup school in mind, for 2C Supplementary.
Because once you withdraw from a school, you can't go back anymore -
for whatever balloting outcome that turns out, under 2C balloting.
No - phtthp is right it is . P2c at Rgps has 62 seats not 20. So carried over from phase 2b would be 103 seats. -
