Well, MummyDolly. I can tell you that I am not money minded but a very careful person with my hard-earned money. I will not spend my money on lousy service or service that not complete. I am also doing soft-parenting approach. At the begining of the year, I put my 2 children into pro-teach but my 2nd child complaints a lot until cry. Got bully. So, I listen to her, pull her out in June and put her into tuition. Her results very poor in SA1 and I took initiative to talk to the pro-teach teacher in charge to get feedback. Guess what, the teacher commented that she was weak in those subjects before she come into Pro-teach and that why she performance badly. I am shock for such feedback. Anyway, I just ignored and accepted that her poor results in SA1 not due to pro-teach tuition but our faults. So, for period of 6-months tuition, zero results from pro-teach tuition. I never check her worksheets bc no time. But she mentioned, teacher skip question. And she also fear to asked question bc teacher very fierce. However, she got huge improvement in SA2 after I sent her to other tuition centre that more responsible and completed all the worksheets. As a results, she got school good progress awards and coming Edusave awards. That a huge different between responsible tuition centre & those only seek to gain profit from parent.

It’s so obvious that Mommy Dolly & Doc Brainy are from Pro-teach. Actually, I am not attacking your brand Pro-teach but just sharing my bad experience at this branch. I believe other outlet doing well. My one bad experience will not kill your brand lah. So, I don’t understand why they are so serious in defending yourself. If your brand & service is good, don’t need to explain to cover yourself for the incomplete tuition service at the expense of parent. Sg parent mostly educated & smart, can see with their own eyes and do own judgement.

Aiyo, I am not a mean person lah. From time to time, my children complaints but I just ignored. Asked why, they dare not said. And as always I don’t pamper my children, so I patients and observed. An the end year, the results speak itself.


I have called and talk to them. And what a points of talking further. I am not getting refund of my deposit, my children results cannot be reverse, money spend cannot recover. Just like lose money in the stock market. So learned my lesson and move on lah …

We are busy working parent, that why we put our children into student care. We choose pro-teach Bedok South that higher price compared to the school one bc they have tuition. Yes, they gave us the parent-hand book to read at the beginning of year but who will remember all the term & condition throughout the year. So, principal refused to refund my 1 month deposit, I accepted that bc it’s my fault lah bc never memorize the term & condition that consists of many pages.


I look thru the whole year Pro-teach worksheets, I can said it very well prepared & comprehensive. However, the principal said they take in majority parent requests, not to complete the worksheets but collect full tuition fees is so nonsense and unacceptable. And this was not pointed out in the term & condition in the parent hand book. No mentioned of the incomplete tuition service. So, they do what they like.

The Chinese teacher completed the whole year worksheets but my children never do well, so I will not blame her bc she has try her best to guide children. But the English & Maths teacher that lazy to complete the worksheets, skip tough & long comprehension question and give reason as not to stress the children, it is so weird. I don’t understand why Teacher can spend time to call all the parent to asked whether to come for lunch instead of teach & complete the pro-teach worksheet for children benefits. I am seeking compensation for the incomplete tuition service, but fake hope lah …

Anyway, I blame myself for choosing the wrong centre, never read & memorize the term & condition carefully. lesson learned … haiz

True, not all operator like them. I have deal with many tuition centre and this is my 1st encounter such practice. Charge parent full material fee the whole year but can choose not to complete the material. I guess they think they are good, been in the business for long time and nobody dare to complaints them bc their location near to school. Convenients for parents. Claimed that they have go thru with me term & condition but never give me to acknowledge.

Bedok-South. Principal very good in talking and explanation but at the end no acceptable reason for the incomplete material that they charged parent. Principal protecting the bad temper teacher. My children results no good, not their fault but my fault for choosing the centre that not registered with MCYS and anyhow charged parent but never properly teach the children. MCYS Officer adviced me to monitor and if abuse happen, I should call the police as the centre is not registered with them and not under their jurisdiction. And adviced me to share my bad experience so that parent be aware. What a bad decision I made, should have to go registered centre with MCYS.

Pro-teach tuition no good. Teacher skip question. Asked them the reason, they will tell you that for children benefit, as don't want to stress the children.They charged parent sementer material fee and holidays material fee but never complete the material. Teacher and principal can talk very well but very rude with all the empty talk. They don't welcome your children, very regretted to registered my children there one year ago. Now going to withdraw and also a lot issue to settle. :imcool:

Hi mummies that looking for info on TPS beside info on their website. I have 2 girls at TPS this year and next year another one in P1. TPS is a good & popular school and they produce top student every year. The teacher there are very caring & responsible until your child don’t need to go for tuition. They take in parent feedback very seriously. Every year they have events to educate parent on how to help your child to excel. Their PV are very active. My girls look forward to go to school everyday even they sick.
