About DSA leadership, my gal went for Dunman High this year. 1st round of selection - the kids were in group of 4 I think - to build the tallest tower with materials provided, after that to complete a set of questionnaire, some reflection of the task earlier and questions about leadership. My gal told me one of the question asked is "what is a honourary leadership?" 2nd round of selection - interview with 2 teachers, one in English, the other in mandarin. Ask about which uniform group you’re joining if offered a place ( for Dunman, have to join uniform group for DSA leadership), ask the kid how much they know about the school, where they stay ( not sure if they take that into consideration), etc…
