To West Spring
I have a feedback regarding the registration of the Problem solving enrichment class. The registration date is supposed to start today, 8 May 10am. I had even called the school yesterday to check if there is early submission but the school enforced that it is today on first come first serve basis.
I was there at the guard post before 10am and there were only 2 parents ahead of me. But the training vendor told me that registration was already full. I was shocked to hear that. Some parents had already submitted their registration forms to the school a few days before . The vendor told me they will try to check with west spring if there can be additional classes but the class dates will be different . They will also refund me if necessary.
I feel that the priority should be given to parents who followed the instructions and took leave to go to the school to register. If the school /training vendor are accepting registration before the stated date they should be transparent and informed the parents early.
I hope west spring can resolve this fairly and also work out a better process for future registration matters. Thank you.

RE: West Spring Primary
Hi all
My son is primary one next year and I am keen in west spring primary school too. Have signed up for the informal chat this coming Sunday and looking forward to it. Reading through this thread, the questions which been posted so far (including my questions) which we hope to be addressed by the principle during the chat session:
1) programmes for PERI initiatives
2) play-based learning approach (how it will help the child and the types of play-based learning approach that will be use)
3) what type of ccas will west spring start with in pri 3? (am i too early to ask?)
4) are the teachers into full time teaching? (sorry to ask but i do know some new/old schools started off with trainee teachers or part time teachers for lower pri till the sch has found replacement).
5) whether will there be any chance of setting up school based student care and also on school bus.
6) will canteen be serving healthy food
7) programme for the P1 orientation and how many days will it last
will part of the school be still under construction when school starts next year. A bit concerned as the school construction is seemed to be still in the structual stage and it is less than six months to finish. (some children may be "overwhelmed " by the construction noise and unfamiliar uncles moving around the school, like my son especially in a new environment. )
9) will there be lesser textbooks to bring to school since the school will be played based approach ( understand now school children need to carry heavy school bag every day)
Do add on so that our queries can be addressed.
Thanks
