Any transfer students to St Hilda's for P3 2021?

Hi Claire_low, I'm kind of in the same situation as you. My girl is in p2 now and we need to transfer her in p3 as we're moving to our new place.


I submitted an application to 1 school at the start of this year. They just asked for me report cards/assessment from the school and any certs or testimonials from other programmes that she's taking outside of school.

Got in touch with MOE to ask as well. They said I can either directly apply with the school or go through their school transfer system which I understand starts in Sept. But they will assign you a random school with vacancy closest to your registered address.

Hi, if I wish to apply for transfer to Catholic High Pri for my boy in P3, may I know what is the process like? There isn't any examinations in P1 and P2, so how does the school decide which case(s) will be successful? Thanks in advance.

Also, just to get some views from parents who live in Tampines North, which schools would you consider in the area? And if you have any reviews to share based on your child’s experiences in the schools?

- Poi Ching
- Tampines North Pri
- Gongshang

So I guess it's wise to send an application to a few schools and not just wait on the first choice in the area?

School will only contact you, if

1) vacancies arise

And

2) your child gets short-listed by the school, sometime in late October / early November, as a result of vacancies that arise.


If neither condition is fulfilled, you won't hear from the school, which you have applied for a Transfer

Would like to ask, if we are submitting for transfer (p2 to p3 next year) to a school near to our new home address and would like to start in Jan 2021, usually when would the school inform us of the outcome?

Anyone had experience doing school transfer to St Hilda when their child is halfway through pri sch (e.g. P3), due to moving to new home which is in the neighbourhood? How difficult was it to get a place?
