      Hi lovexuan

I have begin to prepare my gal to do things on her own for about 2 hours. I’ve set time table for her when I am not back from work eg. She will be back from school aroung 11.30am so she will learn to put her bag at designated place then self practise piano and violin, lunch then assessment books or self reading.

During school holidays, I will set time table similar to above too. I will do flashcards, arts and crafts, cards games or blocks with her in the afternoon.

      Hi izmum,

I am most willing to share with you. Seimpi baby music is 45 mins per week and fees was less than $150 per month. Min 6 to Max 8 per class. My info may not be updated as my gal was in baby music 2 years ago, you may wish to go to their website for detail.

I started working as part time morning when I put my gal in Kinderland I will start doing things with her around 1pm. Does that makes me a SAHM too? 😂

Mine gal is in Crestar Kovan for ballet. Our 1st encounter with the Teacher (now left) for baby ballet was bad and I had to transfer my gal to another class and since then she has been progressing well with this Teacher that can really handle kids (though she look kind of stern). :imanangel:

I sent my gal to Semipi School of Music (not sure if you hear of this school) at age 2+ and started individual piano at 4. She likes music alot and she actually request to learn violin as well. But again music needs practising even if it is only 5 to 15 mins daily.

You may want more details if you are interested in the schools.

I am happy to know that you and I actually share same views towards growing ups for our gals. LIke you I had homeschooled my girl until she was 4. I sent her to Kinderland at K1. I did not sent her for any enrichment except music (I think that’s important for character building) and ballet. Till now we will do things together every afternoon and outings every weekends.

But I think you should start your gal piano before P1 because to have the habits of practising piano is important and she might feel stressful coping P1 and Piano together.

Yes we should speak up (afterall we are the ones paying) politely and reasonably!

Please help yourself and those parents that already stuck… I just want fairness.

$320.00 per child is Hxxx lots of money the school will be collecting in Term 3!

Unlike Ph.D. Mommy , my gal is in K2 this year and I think all K2 will be the most unfortune in this fee hikes. It will be another 6 months and they will be P1. There is no way to pull out now. 😢

And like most parents, I had written to the school twice but no reply at all!

I hope parents continue to write in and hopefully the management will re-consider the parents point of view.. seriously who can accept 25% revision in the middle of the year!

I had also write in to MOE to quiry if there is any guidelines for private school fees revision and I hope I will get some reply. :?:

My super big Q is WHy at this time of the year?! Doesn’t there any guidelines from MOE or MCYS for increase of school fees in private schools?!

I had also write in to MOE in regards to this matter, hopefully I had found the correct channel to voice out!

I think whether the school reply or not, parents with children already with Kinderland should keep writing in.

My girl at Serangoon Preschool and she take school bus too, no interactions with other parents. So seems like the school will go ahead with it, in fact I had send 2 emails regards to this issue.....with no response. That's made me more mad

      lovexuan:
My girl is also in Kinderland Preschool and K1 this year! She still has 1.5 years to go and I feel it's ridiculous to keep increasing the school fees. Didn't they just increase it last year?? My girl is already settled down in school and has a her own clique and all but now I have plans to pull her out because it's not worth paying so much!! I feel it's so unfair to my girl. Honestly changing school is the last thing on my mind right now because I am currently 39 weeks pregnant with baby #2! What have I gotten myself into? Wonder if there's anything we can do about this! 😞

Which Kinderland is your girl in? Seriously we should gather and send in our protest!!!!

    • Kinderland Preschool Revision of Fees!

My girl is in K2 this year and Kinderland fees is $1,290.00 per term. This 22 March 2012 I received a notice that the school fees is revised to $1,610.00 starting from Term 3!

I felt this is totally unfair as school fees should not revised in middle of year moreover this is her last year. SO what can I do?! I am stuck in a situation to be force to pay the difference ($350 x 2)!! Pulling out my gal will be my last resort, of cos I am reluctant to do that thinking of all the time I need to find a new school and new uniforms and my gals feeling!

I wonder if any parents out there experience such revision (huge jump)!

What kind of measure that a parent can take to prevent school \"anyhow\" increase school fees?
