The psle booklets are well stocked at the bookstores now.. do get them if you need extra practice. I recall by end March/April, it’s usually out of stocks![/quote]

Do the canteen operators/convenience stores/popular accept cashless payments like Google Pay etc?
My ds shared that the sec sch canteen food is quite cheap - per meal is between $2-3 and drinks at around $1.
I've been giving him allowance on a per month basis since Y1 which provides more flexibility.
Hopefully sch is still able to conduct the 3D2N camp for the Y1s, leading to the Junior Rafflesian Investiture Ceremony next Jan. -

it's normal that the average p5 results are lower than p4 as there is a significant step-up in what's being tested, so may not be a case of having more difficult papers. Perhaps it's fairer to check in with the teachers, or look at pre-exam practice papers. The boys are usually given past year school papers as practice papers before exams.
Hi parents, anyone with boys who just took the P5 SA2 exams in SJIJ recently? The English and Chinese papers were very difficult and the marks my boy (and many of his classmates) obtained were much lower than usual. Wondering what was behind the school’s thinking behind setting such tough papers. Should we interpret the AL scores as indicative of what their expected PSLE score will be? -

Yes, the sch is supportive.
Dear all, I am facing a situation where my son has suddenly said he doesn't want to go to the school that we have chosen for him because of negative experiences with older kids from the primary school, e.g. the older kids taunting and chasing him.
He has told me that he is keen on SJIJ and that he likes to go to church so he wants to go to a church affiliated school. However, although we are eligible for 2B, we will still need to ballot. Also, we do not know anything about SJIJ other than it's a Catholic school and it's a popular school.
My son has some challenges in coping with daily events. He is a good and kind boy and his literacy and numeracy skills are fine, but he is easily distracted and rather hyper and loud at times. His current kindy teachers have not advised us to go for a diagnosis, but we think that he may need an AED's help in future. Hence, we do have some worries about applying for a school that may be taking in students with high focus and strong academic abilities.
Would any parent be able to share with me about SJIJ's pastoral care and AED services for the students, especially those with difficulty focusing or emotional challenges? Are the teachers and other students accepting of those who are different? -

Hi SubashiniR,
I think it depends on what your expectations are.
My older child is studying in the school. He enjoys going to school because of the friendships and activities.
In terms of teachers, it really depends on the individuals. On the whole, the school management is supportive. There is no PV requirement at Phase 2B because the parents are very helpful and volunteer their time for the boys. Most of the activity-based PV work are usually over-subscribed.
If you need more specific questions to be answered, you can pm me.
Cheers!SubashiniR\" post_id=\"1918089\" time=\"1562424832\" user_id=\"166789:
Thanks for feedback, OldBoyCoolJoe.
Appreciate if parents of kids currently studying in school can share some feedback on how they find the school vs expectations. -
