Greenmice:

SCGS under 1km no ballot. I think 6 btw 1 to 2 km ballot for 3 vacancies.
I believe it's 6 applicants between 1-2km balloting for 4 remaining vacancies, as the total vacancies went up to 51 after one withdrew.
I think is 6 applicants above 2km balloting for the remaining 4 seats? -
RE: CMA Math - Discussion
Thinking of enrolling my 6yr old into cma program. Would like to check what’s the referral code for? Am deciding punggol branch or kovan branch… Any recommendation for these 2 branches? Thanks!

RE: Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten (BRMCK)
Hi , I have 3 kids in Brmck and so far so good. they do have outdoor play, water play and sand play according to my eldest who is k1 this year. She often mention to me about taking walks in the garden just behind their classrooms… for Montessori, they do alot of paper cuttings, fine motor skills exercise, learning about famous people and different cultures of the world. (based on the work that my child brings home and what she has shared with me)
I too find that Brmck focused more on acdemics rather then the play approach which most presch are adopting now. But I feel that there’s no ‘perfect presch’ as all parents have different perspectives and expectations. If this sch focused more on academic, I will fill in the gap by bringing my kids out to playgrounds often, doing swimming on sunny days, some painting and dough activities during rainy weather… It prOmotes bonding too! And because I know that the sch has done adequately on the academic component, there won’t be any need to sign up for enrichment classes outside of school.
On the other hand, if the sch focused more on play approach, then probably I would have to sit down with my child to go through abc & 123 at home. But of course, some children learn tons of stuffs via play.
Most importantly, the child has to enjoy/love the school. If you put your child in a popular presch and they do not enjoy or love going to school, they will learn nothing… -
