I am registering my ds for P1 this year. I can register in Anderson Primary under Phase 2A(2) but am not sure should I go for it. I am not looking for a academic oriented school but a nurturing and caring school which focuses on the child’s overall development. Does Anderson fall under it? Any advice? Thanks!

Hi! I am registering my ds for P1 this year. I stay in hougang and am looking for a nurturing and caring school with a holistic education. These are the schools I am considering :


1) Anderson Primary-eligible under Phase 2A(2) but is located in Ang Mo Kio . Heard that it is a popular school in Ang Mo Kio.
2) Hougang Primary-residing within 1km under Phase 2c. But based on past records, there is always balloting even for last year where Singapore citizens have priority.
3) Palm View Primary- a new school just started this year. I am also residing within 1km from the school. Heard that so far, the school looks at the overall development of the child rather than just academic. But some friends told me it is a new school and not tested. So better don’t take the risk.

Anyone knows which of the above schools is more holistic and has a nurturing school environment? Thanks!
