Pongplt, if you can drive her to and from school that will save a lot of time. Just a suggestion.
Yes, I heard that by car, if you don't hit the jam, it can be a breeze…. -

Jurong no school?
If you are local born Singaporean, can always try try RGPS in phase 2A...
Even for phase 2C, also try..as long as local Citizen's kids get into the placement.
But still you will be surprised as a lot of FT indian and Cheena applied to be SG citizen for the sake of getting their kids into the school.
I came to know a Cheena couple who use cash to buy one apartment within 1km of the school, converted into SG Pink IC, applied the girl into RGPS. I asked them during orientation whether will they stay long term in SG, they said NO..it is just stepping stone for their girls to go to UK or USA next time.
I was dumbfounded, and sad, as because of what they had done, one local born singaporean girl lost the chance of entering into this school.
thanks for your sharing… RGPS is my alma mater.. thinking of going via phase 2a -

RE: Raffles Girls' Primary
Hi everyone
I’ve been following this thread very closely. I am registering my DD for P1 this year and seriously thinking about registering her under phase 2A (I am an ex-RGPS girl). However, I am staying in Jurong West extension. Can anyone advise me what time would the bus come in the morning and in the afternoon?
In addition, I do not want to stress my daughter and have not placed her in any enrichment and tuition classes. She is studying in a preschool that believes in play concept. Is it thru that "branded" schools like RGPS would leave the learning of fundamentals to parents while the teachers expose the girls to project work and other forms of enrichment?
Thank you and I would like to hear the view of mummies here! -
RE: Radin Mas Primary
Dear Mummies
I am very new to this forum. I have been selected to do PV in RMPS and my daughter will only be going to Primary 1 only in 2017 (registering her only next year in 2016).
Academically wise, I have not enrolled my daughter in any academic enrichment classes like phonics or chinese. The childcare which she is currently focuses on \"play\" concept - and hence, even in K1, there is no spelling or ting xie. I do recognise the importance of play and hence I do not want to put so much pressure on her.
My friends whose children are in so-called neighbourhood tells me that it is important to put the children to be in the first 2 classes as the schools would put the resources in these two classes.
With RMPS, may I find out whether does it work the same? Meaning, if my daughter does not perform as well as expected, will the teachers not be motivated or bothered with the low performing students?
I am a little concerned and still in a dilemma about registering her in RMPS. While I know RMPS produces excellent PSLE results, I am fearful of the stress. Do all students have tuition and outside enrichment classes to help cope with the school work?
By the way,can I find out, if you are a SG PV and you stay within 2km (outside 1km), what are the chances of getting into Phase 2b?
Thanks!!!

By the way, anyone staying in Jurong or Telok Blangah area? I would like to find out what time the school bus comes to pick your daughter.
Thanks!!!
