H, Is P1 NeuroMath classes by invitation only or anyone can attend?

As per what I know based on my kid these few years in naps, it's by invitation only.

Since it is by invitation, I presume the Maths teacher will identify the potential kids & make the recommendation?

BTW, since parents weren't allowed into school as of today, I asked my DS how he manage his recess time... He told me he bought food on his own and there were no P4 buddy to help them...

I double check the orientation booklet and it states there there will be a P4 student attached to help ur kid only next Mon (07 Jan) onwards...

I presume its because they brought forward the recess period of P1 to 9:45am just for this three days...

Its a funny arrangement to me becoz if the school is already leaving the P1 kids to buy food themselves on Day 2 & 3, then what's the point of assigning P4 kids to help next week? :scratchhead: :scratchhead:
with P1 recess being brought forward, the children have the whole canteen to
themselves. But come next Monday, when the P1 merge with the P3 & P4 for recess, it can be very daunting with so many upper primary kids.
Having a P4 buddy during that time is not a bad thing :boogie:

I received this 'Marshall Cavendish' card with ID and pword to log in. I logged in and explore here and there but I don't know what it is for. Anyone any idea.

Sometimes I feel that the sch just 'throw' stuffs at u and expect u to figure out urself.
I usually will write on the handbook to communicate with the teachers, if I am not sure about what is going on in school. So far, her teachers are very 'on the ball', they will ring me & brief me on my queries.

the other website is http://www.problemsums.com.sg, it has a scoring system as well.

During the inital weeks, I helped out during recess ( excuse to see my DD in P1 :boogie: )

The kids were orderly and there were no Q cuttings. Only a handful are rowdy and they are usually the same group and belongs to the upper primary.
The P1 coped very well, be it whetherbthey Q for food or they brought their own food :rahrah:
The school welcomes suggestions from parents, I agree some food are rather expensive and the portion is quite small.

My only concern was the duration for recess, i find it too, short. I had seen some kids gobbling down their food due to having to Q too long to buy food. A school staff will usually do his rounds using the loud hailer, telling the kids to finish up eating and leave the canteen. :stompfeet:
