Do u guys think it’s ok to miss the p1 orientation as it happens to fall on the same day and time as my son’s kindergarten graduation ceremony and nobody else to attend on my behalf.

What should I do?

May I know how do you and your child adjust to primary school life just fresh out from the well protected kindergarten to suddenly having textbooks for each subject, things to memorize, homework to do etc? It’s like they are suddenly expected to know everything and also to defend themselves as teachers are not with them every minute like in a kindergarten!

Sigh! Really dunno how to make the choice. That’s y at this time still looking thru e 2 sch’s website. Clementi pri’s principal just joined this yr whereas pei tong’ s should be changing soon(started in 2010)(was told that every 5 yrs principal will change).

So what shld I be looking at? A school with a new principal with a stellar record in moe or a school with longer history? Dunno where to chk their psle results.

Parents, really appreciate any opinions u may hv as I m all alone deciding this for my child. Really very very scared to make the wrong choice for him.

1st time and totally clueless so hope u can ans my perhaps silly question. I just realized that in moe's website vacancies under phases, no number of children registered for phase 1, only fr phase 2A onwards, does that mean that the bal no. Of vacancies is therefore lower or m I missing out something?

If u hv been monitoring from phase 1 on the sch u r targeting, u would hv known all the figures. At this point of time u cant see actual number of applications for Phase 1. Unless thr is another source of data available on the Internet.
What u see now is the accumulative numbers of applications up till phase 2A1 inclusive of Phase . What u see now in moe website, the far most right column, is the total number of applications for Phase 2A2.
