No I wasn't expecting them to immediately call for interview. I also know there's nothing I can do except to wait.

I have forgotten to add that aside from prelims there are other auditions also in the coming 2 weeks so hence I was wondering roughly how long do they take to respond usually so I can anticipate and prepare my child accordingly.

If u ever get called up for Round (2) interview, nothing to do with your Round (1) results anymore : these are already over & done with.

Is these two impt criteria :-

Hi. Wish to inquire from those who have been through performing arts domain for schools that have 2 rounds


Round 1. Audition + mini interview ( by 2 teachers - assuming are the incharge of the CCA & coach)

Round 2. if chosen, to attend another round of interview.

Assuming if asked to come back for interview, usually what does it entail? Will the first round audition have some sort of score that is then added to the 2nd round interview score ? Or is it a clean slate where everyone that gets to this round gets evenly judged purely on interview etc?

Not in a written black & white official letter nor email, that sort.

But,
can be in the form of a verbalised hint uttered out, at the end of the interview, when u (P6 DSA student) are about to exit, walking out of the door (interview room). Something positive which the interviewers had remarked / commented or uttered to the interviewee, towards the end of the interview, like

Example
the interviewer, Principal of the Secondary school, may say things like

\"Do look out for a positive response from us. You are definitely someone we like ... \"

If u hear this type of rare comment, u nailed it ! Congratulations ! The CO is on the way, is only a matter of time.


This take place only in a one to one solo interview setting. If is in a group interview with other students around, interviewers won't say such thing.

Rejection can take place, when :-

1) students have not been short-listed for DSA at all out front , or

2) after (inspite of) attended an Interview, some still can be rejected, due to great competition in the DSA exercise, where several hundreds of students are \"fighting\" for limited DSA slots (seats).

Interview is either the
\"make it\" or \"break it\" outcome.

Yes,
after attending an interview, outcome can be any of these :-

a) receive CO (Confirmed Offer)
b) put on Wait list
c) rejected

In 2019 DSA exercise,
a number of girls from various primary schools all over Singapore applied to both IP schools (RGS + Nanyang Girls High), under \"Maths\" subject academic domain.

After attended interview in both schools, some of them have received rejection notification, from both these two schools.
