The school is quite strict in pupils’ conduct. Hwr, their teachers are always away. My girl has 2-3 relief teacher just for History. As for Chinese, the teacher didn’t even finish the text book and activity book.

Hence, I have to spend a lot of time/money to ensure my girl is reaching national standard. Positive side is she is in the best class. .So the pupils are quite well behaved. Some teachers are v responsive, they will pass you their HP# for you to ctc them As for school activity, there is alot ad-hoc. But the problem is if the child didn’t do well in PSLE, there will be limited choices. You need to set your preference.

Yeah! Parents are free labor to school. I am in IT so I always asked to troublshoot their LAN system…etc. It was so stress in case I can’t fix their problem.

Hi All, thank for the useful info. My gal went to MOE to request the downgrade on the PSLE result release day. Of course, it was being turned down. All in all, she was over confident and didn’t take PSLE seriously. Now, she understands the game and put her head in it. The tutors were surprised about the result and believed that she was under performed.

I have called several schools and they will open Sec 2 admission by July or later. I think this few months would give her more time to prepare. Her talent is Ballet grade 6. I will continue to call other schools. Again, really thank for your tips. They are very helpful.

Of course, I gal said ‘thx! no thx!’. In return, they commented my gal’s life is boring and pittiful. How would you feel if you were me?

I will monitor her progress. Meanwhile, I am making plans to research the level of schools based on her mid-year actual performance. If she isn’t performing well, then there is pointless to transfer.

I understand that all secondary schools are teaching on the same plateform, hwr, the schl is not competent in terms of teaching materials, quality & teacher. The Chinese teacher has been away regularly on some events:( Anyway, I am very concerned. I am a working single mum that outsourced to tutors:) Now, my life is supervising her to study everynight.
