Hi, my son is going to writers at work kings arcade. The teacher gives a lot of ‘feedback’. She is new because I called the centre up. Her instructions are very confusing. Can’t do this, copy this but not that. If it’s so rigid is it actually helping? I have half a mind to withdraw but seems people say their materials are quite good. Or maybe it is the teacher? Any parents with similar experiences?

RE: All About Weiqi and Chess
Hello! Thanks for this thread.
My kid was learning with powerchess. Expensive and yes the owner is an interesting personality but with covid it shifted online which was totally not worth it. I have just registered with SCF. There is no assessment of which level to start (my kid already learnt some time with powerchess). I emailed them before to ask, no reply. I have emailed reg form and also paid since they state clearly must pay first to confirm and today is the deadline. Wondering if anyone has experience with SCF to guide. Is this normal? I did read online they are quite unresponsive, rude etc. Seems like a lot of chess schools are like that. Sigh. Any help would be appreciated -
RE: Anglo Chinese Family of Schools
Thanks for this group! The update of spaces etc is very useful so that we dont need to keep calling up the school. All the best to everyone! This year numbers seemed so much worse than other years even tho by right is snake year. Not sure what the reason is. Goes to show cannot just look at historical trends. AC is a good school. Above all because it’s a mission school. Heard parents prayer group very strong. Not just the academics but the values. They also pray for the other Methodist affiliated schools. Most impt is trust God for your child. Glad this is all over.
