Hihi! I have placed my boy in math tuition since P1. He is now P2 and scoring full Mark’s in math. Home tuition doesn’t work for him as easily distracted and peer pressure helps him out more. You can consider if staying around Clementi area. It’s right next to clementi mall, number is 6255 6788. So far so good. Teachers are responsive and friendly

RE: P1 Tution -- Necessary?
Finding the right student care is important! This literally saved our lives! Student care in school basically takes care of lunch and that’s about it. Homework cannot be checked due to MOE rules. I changed to a private student care after a few months which is located few minutes wall from my boy’s school. He has been there since P1. I never had to worry about spelling or 听写 as the teachers religiously helps to practice. Homework is checked through and any mistakes the teachers will go through and explain to my boy. For him, once he is home he is glued to iPad. So best thing is throw to student care. All work taken care of!

RE: All About Preparing For Primary One
I remember first time was quite stressful for me. Fortunately we decided to go for a student care near the school where my kids are studying. Teachers from the student care is professional, caring and very loving. They have a chat group set up for parents so that hubby and I are updated and reminded to sign stuff if needed. It is really a huge load off our mind as all their homework, spelling and 听写 is completed and usually they get full Mark’s! Due to that, evenings and weekends we really have a good time together. No need to scold. So in conclusion, finding a good student care centre helps!!! Tuition is also covered during weekdays

RE: Q&A - P1 Chinese
My girl in K2 now. Been sending her to a tuition centre in Clementi for K2 Hanyu Pinyin as I simply cannot teach.. and also forgotten.. not too sure if I have even learnt it during my time. Result is... she likes it! The laoshi teaches in fun ways through songs and rhymes. After a few lessons, she is singing away in Chinese and reciting some cute rhymes.
good enough for me! -
RE: How much $$ do you spend on kid’s tuition per month?
I must say tuition does help. My girl hates Chinese. But after attending a few lessons with a highly recommended teacher. She now speaks more chinese at home. Her confidence is also boosted. I mean that is one great teacher to me!
