    • RE: 2017 Secondary School Selection for 2018

RGS sand NYGH cfm have their fair share of stress and competition, unavoidable. NYGH has many fun filled activities u can participate in. Girls there mostly from NYPS. RGS has many programmes to develop talent and new opportunities. Quite equal in terms of school ratio cus no affiliation.

My DD also 256 so now struggling to decide : IP

Or O level ? I'm not sure whether to try RGS as maybe risky ? But between other IP schools , which is better and 'safe' to try : SCGS RV NJC

      Advice please ! Thanks

256 can definitely get your DD into an IP programme if she is willing to work hard. RGS will be risky since the difference is 5 points. If your DD can adapt to environment if RGS (many commitments and self-directed learning), then no harm trying. However, RGS environment may not be good for those who do not work well with stress. SCGS would have kids that got in thru affiliation. However, I think that the school is relatively not bad. NJC relatively more stress free. Also a lot of independence required. Hope this helps!

To me, all are quite manageable but there was a handful of challenging questions.

Can be both as long as the students bring out what is in the picture. They can’t also possibly fault you for saying a boy is a girl. Sometimes looks can be deceiving.
