With SA nearing, I am trying to get DS to try out past year papers from other schools. However, it seems that many topics are not covered yet.

For Science, some schools divide the papers into Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
When I asked DS what have they learnt for Science, is it Physics or Chemistry, he said, its just LSS - Lower Secondary Science! Faint~~~

Hi Sexyviper.. don't faint. My DS said the same when I asked him about science! I also understand that the same teacher teaches both Physics & Chemistry. Not sure how it works in other school but for my DD's school, Physics, Chem & Biology are taught by different science teacher. DD finds the science notes provided by DS teacher inadequate though

Hi, did your DS did well for the common test 1?

My DS passed all (borderline passes) except for Geo.
No surprises since he left his Geo textbook in his locker the day before his exams.
I have not looked at any of the papers yet.

My DS did ok for Maths but failed HMT. Was told half the class failed HMT. English and Science borderline passes. Geo not known yet.

FYI... There will be a Fun Food Fest event on this Friday between 9.30am-11am.

DS can buy food such as subway sandwiches, pizza, bubble tea etc.

Is it? Didn't hear boy mention anything abt it. Will ask him tomorrow. Prepare to give him more money to make purchases.

My DS also say nothing was being mentioned. School may probably make announcement tomorrow? Yes, prepare extra money..

DS say last question is Optional. He didn't compete last question too.

With regards to the invalid product key code for Microsoft Office, I called up Sapura sales and was told that our DS can bring their MacBook to the Sapura service office on Level 2 of their school and their staff will help to reinstall and we just need to key in our product key code on the spot.

Thanks for sharing... It was really frustrating. They should have fix it before that.

I questioned them and they admitted there was a mistake during the initial installation. Agreed they should have at least send an email or circular to the school to inform the pupils and advise them on what to do.
