Need yr advise

1) Isit advisable to buy e ebooks with txtbk or just txtbk?
2) how many sets of uniforms/PE attires for Sec 1? Roughly hw much? Shanghai uniform a lil out of place, better to get enough sets. Any idea if the vendor wl be in school before 20Dec?
3) Can we use the current calculator, Fx96SGPlus or we need to get new ones?

students scored 258 also got EEIS scholarship. normally, it is like 260++.
my child's tuition teacher sent me this screenshot. one of her students scored 272+3. it is the 2nd highest of a very good girl school.

So i suppose the score is lower this year.


You have students scoring 258 getting EEIS?? Last heard its 260 n abv, got friend's kid 259 didnt get it. Can confirm?

Just to share. For those got CO, Rejected or WL for NYGH - It is NOT about your school perfect results that landed you Rejection; It is also NOT you are a average student that landed you a CO. It is NOT even you have amazing accolades that landed you a CO. It is your ACTUAL performance on their selected test as well as your interview performance that landed you a CO. Even if you have perfect scores of full marks from your school exam, ; or SMBO, various awards from competition -- but if on actual day, your brain did not twist or function properly and during the interview, you did not react spontaneously, you will not be successful for the DSA.


That is why, over the years alot of forumers shared their dc's profile of successfully receive CO. Some MS, some GEP, some no awards, some high profile etc... that's no hard and fast rule with regards for NYGH to shortlist their candidates. Remember you already been shortlisted for interview based on your school results & awards; hence the last Tests that the school want to confirm is your dc's talent that they specifically look for. If they purposely rejected those high ability students which they thought they will come in with high T-score, they might not shortlist them for selected test & interview in the first place. It is just wasting their time.

Therefore, NYGH do have their own final selection criteria based on their Selected tests & Interview on that day; To cherry pick the girls that they want them to strive in their school..- Afterall NYGH is Top school in S'pore, why would the school want to purposely reject the talented students and indirectly ask them to go other schools instead?

Once again, I congratulate the DSA 2018 parents for their dc successfullyin getting CO & WL to NYGH. The WL is also 100% high rate of converting to CO on PSLE's results day (As long don't score below 200). For those who were unsuccessful, treat it as a experience. 加油 towards PSLE.

Same as NJC : sent out WL / rejection, last week. CO : come later (keep goodies/suspense, to the last)
