One possible method:

Let the number of tickets sold at first be 2 tickets
Amount of money collected will be 2 x $9 = $18

During the sale, the number of tickets sold increased by 50%
The number of tickets sold (now) will be 3 tickets

The amount of money collected from the sale of tickets increased by 25%;
The (new) amount of money collected will be 125/100 x $18 = $22.50

The price of a cinema ticket during the sale will be $22.50 ÷ 3 = $7.50
