micollh:what can kids do in fruit world ?
Kids can get up close with kangaroos, emus, horse etc. Feed ducks, take boat and train ride, get educated on various fruits. Try out different fruits.

JR:For the macadamia nuts, I think it was A$20 per kg as compared to the night market which was selling A$30/kg. I couldn't find loose nuts at the super market.
Thanks. Is it cheaper to buy fruits and the macadamia nuts at the fruit world compared to say at the supermarket?
JR:hi jkThanks for the reply.Rehtsegn:Hi JR
sorry for the late reply. We drove from brisbane airport to our hotel at gold coast. Checked in, left our luggages and had lunch then went to fruit world. Cant remember the travel time though. Yes, the ticket price included all the attractions.
We are flying to Gold Coast direct by Scoot, so wondering if it would be too ambitious for us to do the Fruit World (understand that it is not too far from the airport) upon arrival after a red eye flight. Looks like you are able to cover the place in a few hours.

Hi moomoo2
I went with sea world whale watching cos there is a package for sea world entry plus whale watching. I forgot the price but I got it via experienceoz website. You can check out the website for all the deals.
actually we got the pills from a pharmacy at circle on cavill but I believe the pills should be easily available anywhere including sg.
Hi ghibli76
sea world whale watch was the highlight of our tour. We came very close to the whale as the baby whale swam next to our ship. The Captain and his crew were very on the ball as they took us whale chasing but very carefully. We took the seasick pill just in case but my husband who din take din feel sick at all.
Hi
our itinerary is as follows:
day 1
tropical fruit world
Pacific fair shopping centre
day 2
dream world
surfers paradise night market
day 3
paradise country farm
Harbour town outlet
day 4
seaworld whale watching
carrara weekend Market
day 5
seaworld
day 6
Back to Sg
We got a mitsubishi AS4 plus gps and 2 child booster seats for less than 350. Very reasonable IMO.
I din buy anything at pacific fair cos the things are quite ex. To be honest Australia isn’t really a shopping haven cos the things are ex plus the exchange rate…
I went tropical fruit on a thurs and paradise farm on sat. Both were manageable and not crowded.
I especially recommend fruit world over the paradise farm cos its more interesting with similar animals for hands on experience for the kids.
Paradise farm bbq lunch was quite bad as the beef was overcooked and the fish was tasteless. So if anyone is deciding betw the 2 then my vote goes to fruit world hands down. Further more the guide at fruit world cut a big plate of assorted fruits that were in season for our tasting. Very sweet and fresh fruits.
we din go for catch a crab so can’t share much.
We bought strawberries at carrara mkt and our kids rode pony ride there. Essential oils are also cheap at the market.
We only bought a few t shirts at harbor outlet cos rest of the stuff aren’t exactly cheap.
hope this helps.
