      Hi Joann,

The school offers High Chinese in P5 and P6.

What other information you would like to know? I believe you can call up the school to find out if you can request for a school tour since there is not an open house for the school.

      Hope this help.

      Hi MinMama,
I asked my boy who is in P6 this year who he learnt in the start of P5, he said it is either System (plant system) or Cycles.

Hi everyone! I need to find out from parents who have kids in this school if this school has strong support for children with ADHD, are the teachers and the principal there good and understanding? Is it advisable to transfer my child to another school when he is midway thru P3 or P4? Appreciate any input and advises. Thank you.

      Hi BumbleBz,
There are a few special needs students in TGPS. The school teachers will work with parents and counselors at school to best help the students. Most of the teachers in the school are caring and understanding. You could let the school know the condition of your child and work closely with the school and discuss what help and option your child need.

      Hongmeiyu79,
Please let your child wear PE attire for all Learning Journey unless otherwise advised by school. Please also let the child bring pencil case too to write things down.

Yeah, my younger DS also in P3 now. Average daily 1 to 2 homework. But after going through my elder DS who is now in P5, P3 is no longer the honeymoon time. Things will start to ramp up pretty soon. P5 is another stressful year as kids will have homework daily. So it is good to train them with good study habit since young. Even when there is no homework, should get them to at least do some revision or some extra work. Once they have a habit of doing homework everyday, they will not find it too stressful when they enter upper primary.

      Hi hongmeiyu79,

Hmm, did not know that P1 already have so much homework. I know some P1 parents and they did not mention that. One thing you can do is to talk to the form teacher to find out if the students are given enough time to do some of the homework at school. At the same time, you can feedback your concern about the amount of homework. PTC coming at the end of the term. But you can always talk to the form teacher before PTC.

      Mummies,

I'm beginning to feel the stress for my child.. so much homework.. and she's getting remedial classes soon too.. šŸ˜ž Maybe my child is slow in learning..
      Hongmeiyu79, your child in P1?

Tanshelin, normally the school will start slow. P1 typically not so many homework. By P2 or P3, homework will be more. This is toprepare the kids for upper primary. If you interested, can check with the school to arrange for a visit to find out more.

      mummyofone:
I received the note from school on Friday and I see a list of CCAS. It states cca starts from p3 but I see swimming for p2? Any information from mummies here?

      Hi mummyofone,
CCAs are not compulsory for the students though strongly encourage for P3 to P5 kids. Hence the school does not given out enronment form for P1 and P2 students. However, if you think your kid will be interested in any CCA, you can request the enronment form from the general office, fill it up and submit it. You can also ask to talk to the teacher-in-charge of the CCA to get more information.

Good to see so many P1 parents here in the forum. It will take a while for the child to get to the 'big' school environment and routine. So at the meantime, parents don't be stress, help and guide your child along and enjoy the journey.

The P1 kids will be going for a Learning Journey this term. If you are interested to tag along, do approach one of the PSG member to find out who is the coordinator so you can sign up when the request for parent volunteer is out.

Typically all schools only operate for a couple of hours during New Year Eve if it is a school day. The kids go to school just for celebration. No actual lesson on that day.
