Hi, am considering switching my son from another abacus class to CMA West Coast. Anyone has any experience with that centre or willing to share their student ID to enjoy the 8% discount?

RE: Joanne Choo Language Centre - Discussion
Hi,
all I read from those good testimonials from here are just improvements and improvements, but nobody has answered how the class was taught. I called up personally and a male reception answered. He could not or refuse to tell me how the class is conducted, simply said that all their students are recommended and they are the track records. He kept asking me how I get to know about and I must have called because someone recommended me. I called because I travel pass the centre everyday and came here to find out about the feedback. He also told me that P3 and P4 will be in the same class and there is no limit to the class size. I was also told there will no opportunity for me to speak to Joanne Choo herself as she is very busy. I wonder how can an unlimited class size with 2 levels help a child improve his creative writing. Also how can I know what’s is the main weakness or strength of my child if I cannot speak to the teacher herself. Since there is someone who had attended the class and parents of children who attend the class, could you do a favour to explain how the class is conducted and do you get to speak to Ms Joanne Choo herself? -
RE: [Clementi] Primary Schools
Hi, I am also under phase 2c sup. I also need comments and better if experienced parents from either Pei Tong or Qifa about what are the characteristics of both schools, eg. their strength or weakness.

RE: All About Preparing For Primary One
Hey Buds,
Thank you so much for your advise. yes, I am undecided between enrichment programmes to prepare him in the areas that are lacking or just to put him into Kindergarten and let the school do the job. However I am also worried that the school might be confusing for him since he did not follow the programme from the beginning of the year.
However, thanks for the advice anyway.

RE: PCF/PAP Kindergartens
Hi,
It seems like PAP kindergarten standards are pretty high. That makes me wonder what’s so special about the private kindergartens. My son is coming 2.5 this June and I am torn between giving him free exploration of his interests versus preparing him academically at this young age. Any advice.
I will be returning back to Singapore end July and am wondering if I should enroll my elder son who should be attending K2 this year, to a kindergarten or enrichment classes. He has been attending school over here in China but the standard is not as comparable as K2 in Singapore. He will be attending P1 in 2010. any advice or recommendations of good enrichment courses? -

RE: All About Preparing For Primary One
Hi, I am gonna return back to Singapore after 4 yrs in Beijing and my son will be starting P1 in 2010. I need some advice on what to prepare him for P1 in Singapore.
He attended full day school here in Beijing, standard slightly lower than K2 in Singapore. He is quite ok with Phonics, and some simple Chinese Characters. Only learnt addition and subtraction up to 20. We will only be returning in end July which I think will be too late to be enrolling into any K2 classess. Am thinking of putting him into day time enrichment courses. Any recommendations?
