Again time fly… Didn’t log in years and now my son had completed his O level. Just to share our experience on either IP or O level track. We are so so glad we made the right choice to put him in O level track instead of IP. His point do qualify him for IP. But we felt that going into IP will restrict his choices after his secondary life. Now he passed with great result and he is able to qualify for any JC in Singapore! Catholic high is a great school and my DS had matured and become more adopted to high stress level. This in turn prepare him for future high ler education and hopefully working life.

My DD has a raw score of 14 and 10 points net after bonus points deduction. Not sure she can get into CJC or not. A

My Son scored well to get into IP but we opt for O level. Preferred to have more choices after O level. Be it going to Poly or JC. Won’t want to be limited to a single choice…

Don’t mean to rub it in…Turn out it is a blessing that some parents like me had rejected to be placed in IP program at Catholic high in fav of the O level track. This despite our boys met the T-score for IP program.

Did anyone of your son talk about the poor ventilation of the school hall? My son had mentioned that the ventilation is so poor that sometime, it really affect breathing. ..My son is not the pampered type......I do noticed that the school hall has only 2 small little fans and aircon will not be on for any other occasion....except parents are presence. Many students had described the hall as an oven and sauna and if they stay for a long time in the hall...it is really get uncomfortable..once they step out of the hall...they feel like they are in cool heaven......

...Even my son's neighborhood primary has a gigantic HVLS fan install above the school hall to provide ventilation. .so I don't think such installation will not be approved by MOE.......my daughter's SEC school keep the aircon on for any occasion....as long there are large group of people in the hall...and it is government school..... Anyone had such feedback from your son?

Tell the school that you are gonna donate one and you'll get the answer :?: e

I mean MOE should approve the Budget for the school to do it.

Not sure anyone can provide some input on the achievement for Visual & Performing Arts or even UG. Are these CCA able to obtain the bonus points that the sports CCA students can achieve when they get into national level competition? Let's say...a student in Choir. How do the school gauge his performance contribution? I believe the Visual & Performing Arts CCA don't really engage in competition and etc that could provide a clear gauge of their achievement. So are these students being put in a disadvantage position as compare to their sport CCA friends?

With regard to your questions, the Visual & Performing Arts CCA do engage in competition at national level such as events like SYF. The school had announced the result last year as below for your reference.

Thanks Brian for the reply. I believe such event will promote a better engagement from the students as it will give them something to look forward to with all the training and etc. A channel to showcase their hard work.
