if can compare, how is Hougang vs XinMin primary?

we are parents with 2011 gal
for parents here, maybe can answer my stupid question:
- for non top/fav school such as hgps, do we still need to PV even though our distance is <1km?
- for working parents, what do you usually do to clock in 40hrs? do we have enough leave for this?

Erm hougang pri is a very hot school balloting within 1km .. U need to clock 40 hours if you want to pv and only if you got selected

am a bit confuse here:
isn't child born 2011 supposed to be joining P1 2017 admission?
how come in their website stated 2009 born joining P1 2016; meaning 2011 join 2018?
