Quick question regarding 2C.


What sort of information will be posted on school notice board at the end of each day?

will they group the applicant by distant or just total number enrolled in 2C?

u have to ask admin, for minute detailed breakdown

if they put up on the white board, in front of Registration hall :
info will be updated every 15 minutes by P1 Officer, after 2.30 pm, last day of Phase 2C.

parents have to monitor data closely (like stock market) : every 15 minutes, after 3 pm

eg

as at xxx time ( am / pm), date, Phase 2A2 / 2B / 2C
No. of vacancies, in this Phase

less than 1 km : # of SC, # of PR

between 1 to 2 km : # of SC, # of PR

outside 2 km : # of SC, # of PR

note for PR parents

PR parents,

if you know that balloting is going to arise for SC, & zero chance for you, please quickly go to another Phase 2C school register your child in time (before 4.30 pm closing time), pick a school whereby you do NOT need to ballot.

from past experience -
there had been some PR parents still did not withdraw their child by 4.30 pm closing time, still leave their child's name there, not sure for what, even though is clear cut they have zero chance, bec SC are balloting : even though way before 4 pm, the Officer keep updating white board figure every 15 minutes, to announce that SC entering balloting already.

What happen, in the end ?
In the end, PR just missed the opportunity to enrol their child in Phase 2C.
in the end, they can only enrol kid in Phase 2C Supp, when 2CS open.

Why waste this golden opportunity under Phase 2C, when PR could have enrolled into a better school, instead of enrolling under 2C Supp ?

School does not have the time, to inform PR parents, \"Hey, please withdraw your child in time, go to register another school, quick ! \".
In that last critical hour (3.30 pm to 4.30 pm) : P1 Officers are kept very busy, because a lot of parents may turn up last minute to register, esp. those who withdraw from another school, rushing down trying to make it in time.

It is therefore the responsibility of parents themselves, to monitor the figure last day, decide what action to take, at the final last hour on the last day of Phase 2C (or any other Phase).
Do not expect P1 Officer to call u up personally to withdraw, once SC have to ballot.

The purpose of having a white board there, is to inform parents what are the most up to date figure, as of that time frame, then parents have to decide what they want to do, with the numbers at their finger tips

We need be there at 4pm ( if rushing from other school to make it on time for queuing and writing the form and submitting and verifying
