I am about to cancel my maid's work permit. I read the information in MOM regarding the requirement of departure dates is confusing. Anybody can help me? I write to MOM but there is no reply.

The first link mentioned maid must return back to hometown within 2 weeks after cancellation. The second link mentioned to extend stay for more than 14 days from work pass expiry. Is it allowed to let maid stay more than 14 days after cancellation? If we cancel work permit more than 1 day after expired, will there be any penalty?
