Is it easy to get into St Paul’s church kindy? Is there a waitlist or just register 1 yr before the child goes?

DH and I are finally getting our own home after 5 years of marriage. Our renovations are also all completed. And we are starting the process of getting all the furniture and fixtures in. But we have not moved in yet. On a Thurs, MIL tells me that she has prepared some ceremonial stuff for us to put into the house… rice, oil, vinegar, salt and tea. She says that it is ‘her role’ as a MIL to prepare it.

On Sat, DH decides to bring his mom to see our home for the first time… unfortunately, DD and I are unable to go with them as we both are down with a cold and fever and need to rest. So they go ahead… Come Sat night, DH tells me that his mom likes the place and that the both of them have brought the ceremonial things into the house and placed it in the kitchen.

I just want to check isn’t the ‘ceremonial’ things suppose to be brought into the house by DH, me and DD when we are ready to move in? Not for MIL to bring it in as if it is her home and her kitchen?

Thanks ladies! I have got another month to find alternatives...will keep trying.

Or express using hand? Then don't need power point.

Or get a pump that does not need the power point. I use the medela freestyle. I love it!! I walk around the house and do stuff while pumping, cos it is also hands free! Just need to charge it up. And you can pump 3 to 4 times before you need to charge it again.

By the way, I found this link for the top 10 breastfeeding rooms in Singapore. http://www.babycenter.com.sg/baby/breastfeeding/top_10_nursing_rooms/

I stopped using diaper cream cos I realized that DD's rashes were from the nappy / wet wipes, so once started using water to wash her butt, no more rashes 🙂 saved loads of $$$ from buying wipes and diaper cream.

I started feeding my bb at 7 mths cos I am prone to food allergies. BB is now almost 9 mths. Can anyone share with me what type of local veg is ok to feed BB, cos all books are always limited to Western Vegs!

Have you tried Spinach, Chinese radish (daikon), sweet potato?

I have tried sweet potato already, hmmm will try spinach and radish next as per your suggestion.

When do you think is a good time to introduce garlic, cabbage, lettuce, kai lan, siew pak choy, dou miau, bean sprout?

      Robiq,

Yeah, I heard about lecithin, but didn't have a chance to buy. Maybe I should get some. I've been taking more EPO these two days, plus danzen, plus massage. Actually, it's better today. Still sore, but less. Hope it's on the mend!
      MyummyThreeStreams,
I also want to know about EPO, cos I was taking it pre preggie to control mood swings...etc, but since preggie, I went off as it was bad for preggie. Would like to know how EPO affects breastfeeding too!

      Robiq,

Wah...good for you! I'm still not over mine... 😢
Hope your BBs suck really hard!! By the way, when I start getting engorged, I take Lecithin, it helps; makes the milk more watery and less chance of engorgement.

sigh.... talking about milk plugs!! My right side is stuck now... and I can't find the culprit!! Must be cos I did not drink much water today and it is so late at BB will not want to help me out cos she'll rather sleep! hope I get it out soon, if not, how to survive the night??

Ahh finally!! I got the plug out... It is amazing how something so small, the size of the head of a needle can cause so much discomfort! Now I can finally go to sleep after expressing out the rest of the milk!
