My girl told me that they were not allowed to take second serving at Pro-teach, but I am surprised in the way they told the kids! They should have granted the kid the wish (he is hungry there and then!), take note of the additional charges, and then inform the parent concerned. They should also have issued a memo on this to all parents before they implement it.

My girl had to 加料 on her own on one of those days when her lunch serving was not enough for her appetite. luckily, she didn’t go and ask the teachers, she just bought extra vegetables from the Japanese store on her own.

      Hi there,
My daughter also experienced the same thing and sometime no nap at all cos not enough time. I don't understand why she said no time to sleep?? I feel that at least 30mins of power nap is more than enough as my girl has to wake up everyday at 6am.
Anyway, I have wrote to Pro Teach regards to this issue, pending their reply. will share with you when they have replied.
BR,[/quote]Hi tansan, yes, please keep us updated of Pro-teach's reply on the nap time arrangement. Thank you!

When I picked up my DD on Monday around 3pm, I saw the sleeping bags on classroom floor.. The room that nearest to school foyer. Pro-teach staff did told me that if there is homework and spelling, nap time will be cut down.

My DD take shower at school everyday before changing into pro teach uniform. She told me that there is only 2 kids taking shower. The school toilet even has hot water shower (only one room), the rest are with cold water . There is no complaint that she miss rest of activities due to taking extra time for shower, so I plan to keep as it is.
Great to know that they allow kids to take shower. My daughter can shower on her own and will not need teacher's supervision, will consider letting her take a shower on days that she has PE, especially when the weather is getting hotter.

just to check with those P2 parents, any CCA in this school ?

CCAs start only at P3. For now the school organises enrichment programmes.
Last year they had Inline Skating, Mosaic Art, Choral Music and Dance.. covering all aspects (ie. sports, art, dance movement and music). All the kids will have to try all the programmes. Each programme lasted about 8 weeks or something.. once a week.. after school.
This year they are still considering to retain or change the programmes. Inline skating was very popular last year.

Are these enrichment programmes conducted during PAL (Programme for Active Learning)?

If not, which day will these enrichment programmes be conducted? After 2pm? The timetable that my P1 girl brought home did not have them listed...

      Many thanks!

Hi SKGDaddy, my daughter is going to be in Edison, and hi Melody_1030, we have registered her at Little Professor for after-school care too.

Is it advisable for us to secure a place for the school bus before the orientation, or shall we just do all logistic stuff during orientation?

I visited the little professors and pro-teach opposite hougang mall too. Husband is a bit put off by the fact the facility is a bomb shelter, where there is no window. Little professors is well-lit, while pro-teach nearby is bit dimm.

We checked out Raffles Student care at Hougang green too. The operator provide free fetching service from school to centre. Currently there are 3 palm view student in the centre. My husband and I find the teachers are quite friendly, but facility looks bit \"cramp\". The student ratio for this centre is good, as in 1 teacher to 10-15 students about. (little professors and other that i checked, have >20 students in class).

I will check out Glory BASC, and Dexus later (these are few student care that Palm view bus operator contact person quoted- i asked him for existing drop off points for palm view student after school).

Appreciate if anybody in forum can help to provide more information about any centre used. Thanks.

Looping, thank you for the very useful information. Yes, the fact that little professor is housed in a bomb shelter is not very ideal. Also, the bathrooms area when we visited also seem not so well maintained, and the cooking area is at a corner outside the bathrooms.

Will explore the other centres that you mentioned, thanks again!

We managed to register DD at P2CS at Palm View Pri too. Very happy and looking forward to her starting a new journey there.

We stay in Hougang and went to look at the Little Professors at Hougang Ave 6. According to the staff there, there are currently 6 Palm View students with them. The school bus will bring the kids over and a teacher from the student care centre will wait at the pick up point to bring the kids to the centre.

Has anyone use Little Professors at this branch before? Any comments? Thank you!
